I inform you TVers , if you don't already know, about this new online bank, TMB ME - a subsidiary of TMB (clues in the name).

You can sign up on line but then must visit one of only a few branches they have in bangkok, to present yourself with ID and sign forms etc.

It's worth the hassle though I think since they offer:

3% with instant access, no fixed terms or anything (up to 10 million bht) (can boost up .25% for each of up to 3 friends you introduce)

The account is linked to the normal TMB account so can transfer in and out for fre as you wish and use free debit card withdrawals and inter province transfers etc if you have over 1million bht balance.
