November 10, 201312 yr Hi all! Any thoughts on this? I saw that Avis does long-term rent, has anyone tried them? Is there a reputable rental place that will work with this budget? Thanks! http://www.avisthailand.com/monthly/index.php
November 10, 201312 yr Avis are a worldwide company with a good reputation, so you shouldnt really encounter any problems with them. However Im not sure that you will get a car for 10k a month with them.
November 10, 201312 yr Author According to the link I posted, they do 10k/month long term rentals starting from 1 month. I'll be calling them in the morning (their long-term rental specialist), but I leave fairly soon. Do you think this is a possibility? Any other companies you would recommend?

You will soon find out that the 10K price is if you rent for 5 years. I have an 20 year old jeep I can rent out for that price / month.
November 11, 201312 yr I don't know the details of the avis offer (please keep us posted) but yes, in Thailand, renting a car is quite expensive... because cars are more expensive. Usually for 1 month it is about 20000 even for a basic car/4x4/pick up.

November 12, 201312 yr 10000 per month that is very good deal Plus a is have inssurence Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app Its too good. Full insurance for a car (not jeep) that is fully road worthy, no strings attached...not a chance. If it were true then why would anyone bother to buy a car, we'd just rent
November 12, 201312 yr So, is it true, what are the strings...? Otherwise I'll take a dozen and rent then 20k :-)
November 12, 201312 yr So, is it true, what are the strings...? Otherwise I'll take a dozen and rent then 20k :-) Unless it is a friend renting to a friends for "mates rates" then you will never get this deal. Otherwise i'll take a dozen too.
November 12, 201312 yr There was another topic running on the subject, it had quite a few prices in it, nothing like 10,000. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/650836-cheap-rental-car-in-samui-for-25-months/?hl=+car%20+rental

November 12, 201312 yr I would seriously check out where their office is as if a deal sounds to good then it normally is Might be a filshing site with fake stickers on heir cars It might not be but The cheapest I have ever rented a car from Avis or budget is 1200 per day and that was in bangkok Samui prices always started allot hire Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app
November 12, 201312 yr I know that Avis and budget sell their cars after 100 000 km or they used to maybe this is a way of making money out of their old cars U defiantly need to call them and ask where their offices are then go to he airport desk and ask for directions to that office If they do not have leaflets in their office then that is cause for consign Then ask them where the office is that u have been given Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app
