Apologies to those who are tired of US News on gay marriage -- there's just soooooo many states.

Not bad.

It's just that people have commented there are too many U.S.A. specific threads on the gay forum, and the bucket thread idea was a way to help with that, at least for the one predictable narrow issue of U.S.A. gay marriage equality progress.
