Which Visa?

Featured Replies

If I stay more than 30days in Thailand what kind of visa do I need?

I am visiting Thailand for my holiday and might stay for 5 weeks and I know that your only allowed maximum of 30days.

Where do I get the visa from and how much does it cost?

Thanks everyone.

(Visa fee may be changed without prior notice)

Apply for a tourist visa from your nearest RT embassy or Consulate. A single entry is valid for three months and allows you to stay for a period not exceeding 60 days.

Fee should be around Baht 1000 in local currency.

Depending on what country you come from, you can get a Taxi to Soi Suan Phlu and get an extension for another 30 days for around 1000 Baht.

You put on the extension form you want to stay for Tourism, and if you are asked show then your itenerary and it won't be a problem.

Sure, an extention can be done. Fee is Baht 1900.00 plus travelling and time.

Is it true that I have to travel all the way to London to get my tourist visa, I live in the Northeast and it is quite a trek to London.

Can this not be done by post??

Thanks

Unfortunately, the Royal Thai Embassy apparently cannot accept postal applications. However, you can also apply at your nearest Consulate.
