PATTAYA: -- Four vehicles including a coach travelling from Rayong to Chaing Mai were involved in a serious road crash just after daybreak on Tuesday which killed 2 and injured 3 people.

Police and rescue services were called to the scene of the crash on Highway 331 in the Huay Yai area.

A Nakhon Chai Air Bus Service from Rayong to Chiang Mai was carrying 5 passengers at the time who were all not injured.

A husband and his wife in an Isuzu Cameo truck were both killed, the drive rof a Toyota Commuter Minivan was injured along with the driver of a Nissan Pick-up which collided with the rear of the coach just after 6.30am.

Witness and victim accounts suggested an initial rear-end collision took place involving the Minivan and the Isuzu Cameo on the Rayong-bound carriageway.

" Witness and victim accounts suggested an initial rear-end collision took place involving the Minivan and the Isuzu Cameo on the Rayong-bound carriageway. Both vehicles moved over to the opposing lane and hit the front of the Coach which was then rear-ended by the Nissan pick-up "

And how often don't you see this, Thai drivers think they can drive in the opposing lane, just flash their lights, and you have to get out of the way.

And Police don't seem to do much about this. Any other country in the western world, you would lose your driver license immediately, and be heavy fined, and if it lead to death, long jail time.

it doesn't surprise me there are so many rear end collisions with the number of drivers that tailgate the vehicle in front speeding and sometimes even talking on the mobile phone at the same time. The minivan drivers of the worst culprits

A tailgaiting mini van driver being the cause of the accident, nothing new here apart from the day!

Have to learn to drive. This is not question and can't be more long-continued.

Car-schools ?

Yes just another same ol same ol...sad.png

SSDD, and by the way that road is in horrible condition. But lets get a high speed train anyway. And never improve the roads south of Bangkok, in any direction, no Red votes there.

Oh no, not another accident involving minivans. Don't know whose at fault but what always is there a van involved??

The bus was the safest place to stay in this accident so I don't understand people who defend minivans , they are death traps.

In a bus you will survive most of the time .
