Visa when flying in from China and return ticket

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I bought a one way ticket from Shanghai to Bangkok for early January. Do I need a ticket out of Thailand to board the plane from China?

If so, should I buy a ticket from Bangkok to Phnom Penh so I can get another visa there after my first visa runs out at 30 days.

I was thinking if I bought the one way plane ticket to PP from Bangkok and took a bus back it would kill two birds as Ill wont have to worry about my flight to TL from China and I can then do my double entry visa in PP.

Or should I go to Shanghai and get a visa there before leaving for TL??

So confused, but can't wait to get out of China as it's getting cold here :).

Any suggestions would be great...

Thanks!

If you have a visa airline should not be an issue - if not best you have air ticket out within the 30 days visa exempt entry and you could use that as a visa buying trip. A cheap flight on one of the discount airlines would take care of it and buying in advise you get good price. PP Thai Consulate takes 4 days to issue visa normally rather then the next day of most so a flight to Malaysia (with free entry might be better).

Thanks Lopburi

So if I bought a RT ticket from BK to Malaysia before I entered Thailand from China without a visa, I then wouldn't have a problem coming back into TL from Malaysia without a ticket out since I have a visa then?

:)

No problem if you have a visa flying in from anywhere.
