OK.. my turn...

At a Thai friends birthday party I clocked her straight away as she walked in. It was too dark to see her clearly, I simply liked the way she carried herself as this elegantly and confident silhouette walked in...

I asked my friend who she was... by the time I'd had a few drinks, enjoyed the party and worked my way round to chatting with her she and all her friends knew I'd asked about her, my approach was both watched and assessed by all... it seems everyone in the room knew that I liked her.... We chatted for a long time, her English was perfect, her humour excellent, I forgot we were at a party and for a moment we were the only two people in the room.... that is until everyone around us decided enough was enough - we were brought back to reality in a shower, of ice, straws, tissues, cake.... all very funny...

She left the party early. I never managed to get her number and the next day had to ask my friends Wife to ask her if it was ok if I got her number.

She'd never dated a foreigner before and my friends Wife had to convince her by saying.. "Why not, he's a nice guy, its not as if he's asking you to marry him".... Two years later we were married...

What was the attraction ?... I have to say her silhouette...

Oh.. and she also is an amazing cook !

Think I saw a certain Prime Minister do exactly the same when she met a certain President.....and NO... I'm not talking about..... ........... Julia Gillard and Vlad "Put-in."

Now, 23 years and a couple of kids later, her backside's expanded slightly but, hey, still looks gooood to me!.

Unlike the majority of Thais, she had and still has naturally frizzy hair and is quite often asked by others how she 'makes her hair like that?'. In fact, Thais often initially speak to her in English in the belief she's not Thai.

My girl has that frizzy appeal as well...
