Does anyone know how long one is banned from the country for lese majesty? I think I remember reading once that after you land back in your home country you can literally turn around and return to Thailand. I also wouldn't be surprised to learn that your name gets put on a blacklist and you can never return. So does anyone really know? Is there a time limit set when the deportation takes place - like you are banned for 2 years or such? And if you get blacklisted, is there anything you can do about it? Thanks

It certainly would be a life time ban for such a serious offence and being convicted for it. After the jail time a person would be be deported and declared persona non grata for life.

There is an appeal process that can be initiated at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht.

Since this is such a serious subject I am closing this topic.
