parrots has anybody brought parrot eggs or hatchlings

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone have any info on the purchase of parrot eggs and or fledglings? would like to purchace and have experiance raising birds but unsure of the rip offs aroung that you hear of.

Purchasing parrot eggs to hatch is just the latest Nigerian scam. Find a local breeder and purchase fledglings to hand raise, stay away from eggs.

buy a reliable proven breeding pair of whatever you take a fancy too and take it from there, wether to hand raise or get an incubator, there is plenty of good, cheap and simple hatchers on the market now

Hi Romeijoe,

If you can be sure the eggs are from a dealer in Thailand, then maybe worth a shot. Obviously, eggs are much less expensive than buying a parrot, but for the amateur, the risks are high. May I suggest looking at this website http://www.birdslover.com/home/index.php (I hope this is not against forum rules). If you use chrome it will transliterate for you and you can see many adverts for young birds legally bred in Thailand. At the very least, it will put you in touch with local breeders who can help and might be able to supply what you want.

I hope this is of help.

Sorry, I left all my parrot eggs at home
