90 day report-7 day grace

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was supposed to report on the 27th November and tomorrow is my 7th day after the date.

I was asking my building reception if the immigration offices are open at this time (due to demonstrations) and they said offices will be closed.

so, 2 questions:

1. is it 7 days and not 14 days?

2. any latest info regarding the offices, and if they are closed, is there an alternative?

thanks in advance

Immigration offices are open all over the country. In Bangkok, the immigration office in Imperial World Lat Phrao temporarily gives service to foreigners of all nationalities: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/685784-bangkok-immigration-opens-temporary-office-announcement/. The Chaeng Watthana office was closed on Monday and possibly also on Tuesday; for information whether it is open on Wednesday, call 1111.

Reporting can be done up to 15 days before and 7 days after the due date. Reporting later than that will result in a fine of 2,000 Baht.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

14 days before and 7 days after reporting date.

4. The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period of 90 days expires. Immigration
