PATTAYA:--On Monday an, as yet, unidentified man, believed to be a Thai national, was killed after his bike was hit by a fast-moving minivan travelling towards Bangkok on the Pattaya-stretch of Highway 7.

Highway Police and rescue services made their way to the scene of the crash at the 122km marker on the Bangkok-bound carriageway of Highway 7 in East Pattaya. Lying on the road was the body of the male bike driver who was carrying no forms of identification. Further up the road was a badly damaged VW Minivan driven by Khun Nattapon aged 31.

The driver told Highway Police investigators that he had visited Pattaya with his family and they were just starting the long journey back to their home in Nakhon Rachasima Province in the North-East of Thailand when the bike driver pulled out from a slip-road and into the path of the minivan.
