Fifteen15
It seems a lot of shops don't even like accepting $10 notes, they often ask if I have anything smaller. Where can I go to change the $50 notes into smaller change? Or can I just go into a supermarket, buy something small and say I don't have anything smaller then they would have to give me change? rarky
Most banks will exchange your 50's for smaller denominations, as will the currency exchange vendors (for a small fee usually). If you try and pay for a meal at a restaurant or something at a mini-mart, and they don't have change, they will normally send someone out to get change for you. Just stand your ground and say that you don't have change. It is definitely a good idea to carry mostly small denominations and will save you a lot of time and hassles. Sheryl
I usually go into a phone shop and buy a phone card. Never had a problem breaking even a $100 that way.
