Galong
I'm thinking about moving my company from being based in Phuket to being based in Phang Nga Town. I would like for all of my employees to move with me, but I don't think my office manager would move. I'm not looking to cheat her out of money, but I also don't want to pay her six months severence pay if she decides not to move with us. She makes 25,000 Baht per month, so six months severence pay would be a healthy chunk of money. Any thoughts/comments? Thanks....
GuestHouse
Her place of work is established, if you move the place of work you've changed her contract. We had a similar problem when we closed an office in BKK and moved out of the city, a few people didn't want to move, they claimed they had been made redundant and the labour office supported that view.
