Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome kicked off the annual transformation of the Old Naklua Market into a new “Walking Street” tourist attraction for the high season.

The mayor and Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Director Auttaphol Wannakij welcomed large crowds of mostly Thai residents and tourists to “Yesterday’s Naklua” between Lan Po Market and the Yao Bridge Nov. 24.

Seafood vendors dominated the market, offering shrimp, octopus, oysters, crab and fish to be grilled and eaten on site or taken home. Other stalls offered pork, duck, chicken, other fowl and accompanying vegetables suitable for making “somtam.” -

Highly recommended, lots of variety of food stalls and you can take what you buy to the bridge where they have tables, a band, and sell beer in bottles, cans and pitchers, or in the big cooler dispensers.

Don't know who the beer vendor is this year in the past it has been either Chang or Leo
