I was thinking more like the Toyota tour vans. They are constantly parking just anywhere so the driver can get some rest while his clients are doing something.

Are these RV type trailers available in Thailand? If not what would the import duties be?

Then it would have to be registered with the LTO (Land Transport Office). If they haven't had similar before, then you have another problem. (like trying to get single vehicle type approval in the uk). I think Thailand is similar to many European countries where trailers have to be registered and carry their own number plate.

As for converting a tour bus, nice idea, but how are you going to get a licence to drive it? I believe heavy vehicle licences (as HGV/LGV and PCV in uk) are not available to foreigners in LOS.
