meadish_sweetball
Since quite a while back I have had a problem with Microsoft Excel. The problem is that when i click on a file with a .xls extension, MS Excel starts as normal, then the text Requesting Virus Scan appears at the bottom of the Excel window, and then... nothing. The status bar says 'Done', but the file does not open - the inside of the Excel window remains grey. The reason why I havent tried to fix this earlier is because I *can* open files once Excel has started - using the Excel application menus: File / Open and then browse to the file. But I am getting a bit tired of this, and would like Excel to open files through doubleclick straight away as it is supposed to. I suspect I could correct it by playing with the registry settings but I dont know how exactly. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers in advance
