Yellow house book question.

Featured Replies

I recently received a yellow house book. Apparently my wife is named in it also. She wants to know if she now has to use the yellow book, or the blue book she used before.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

She will still use her blue book.

Thanks for that. I thought so, but didn't know for sure.

Your wife is a Thai national and named in a yellow book?

I simply doubt that.

Something has gone wrong or lost in translation.

Is there any entry after page number 2 (meaning more than one person in the book)?

If that is the fact than the office has done a big mistake which should be corrected (assuming you are the only foreigner in the house).

Page numbered 1 is the identification of the house, page nr 2 is the first person entered in the YB.

The YB is explicitely for foreigners and children of illegal immmigrants only.

Let your wife recheck and read the footnote/header that is on each page of the YB.

Some details on the entries in a YB:

My wifes name is in mine on the first page.

If she is on the first page she us probably the house owner.

"If she is on the first page she us probably the house owner."

I don't believe that the house owner is listed as such.

Probably lnamed as a relation - wife - of the person who is listed.

I believe the house master is named on the first page of the book.

In the thumbnail attachment: page number 1 of our blue book (content in YB is 100% identical except name of officer and date at the bottom).

Page number is on the upper right.

There is no field referring to any (name of a) person.

All fields are about the house (registration number, address, name of mooban, name of the house, type of house, date of registration).

A couple of fields are left empty in our book.

Page 2 of my YB that I had published in another thread contains my personal data:

(as explained there: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/681733-yellow-book-the-chicken-or-the-egg/#entry7044394 )

Rest of the book is empty until page 18 with the signatures.

She says she is named in the book, and I have no reason to believe she is lying. As I don't read Thai, I don't know what is written in the book.

The point to be made is that a Thai should not be in a Yellow TB at all, in any form. If a Thai is in the Yellow TB, then it should be corrected at your District Office.

She says she is named in the book, and I have no reason to believe she is lying. As I don't read Thai, I don't know what is written in the book.

Can you ask your wife on what page her name is?

If she says it is on page 2, can you have her point to it and then you post here the number of that position in this picture (which KhunBENQ posted earlier in this topic):

OOPS, my wife is embarrassed sad.png .

Having been asked to show me where her name is, she now admits it is not in there. Apologies to all. She must have been having one of "those" days.
