By fugitive, you must mean Suthep who's failed to report to the police for 80+ murders charges and has an arrest warrant out that he's failing to comply with, right? You should get your priorities straightened out. Being a fugitive from murder is worse than being a fugitive from corruption. 80 + murders eh..you know soooo much just stick to wearing your football shirt when you go out..you know nothing except trolling..i hope thats not you in the avatar picture if it is ..it speaks volumes... Popular Post Scamper
Two and a half years ago, if Yingluck had told her brother " I'm running this ship. No phone calls. No skype cabinet meetings, no family members and confidants in power, no policies dictated from abroad " - none of what is happening right now would have happened. None of it. But she didn't do that. ( And that, of course, is under the somewhat generous assumption that she would have been allowed to do that. And also, under the even more generous assumption that she would have been up for the job of governing. Pretty big assumptions ). But as soon as she was in office, the efforts for Thaksin's passport, the skype meetings, ministers travelling to meet him, and the continuous efforts to get an amnesty bill through - all culminating in this grand blunder of two months ago - have pretty much assured that her opportunity was lost.

Thaksin thinks, Pheua Thai does was the party's slogan in the last election- not Yingluck's thoughts! Popular Post waza
Obviously signifying the death of Yinglucks the puppet's political career and with it the demise of the convicted criminals unconstitutional control over Thailand. Replaced by an even more unconstitutional control over Thailand without even the slightest electoral mandate. A clear and obvious step back, brought to you by Suthep a guy that exceeds Thaksin in corruption. But hey, that must be allright, after all he is from Surat and is cheering for the other side... What your red spin fails to address is this isn't about Suthep, he isn't the crux of the issue. What you fail to see is that these protestors don't follow Suthep because he is saintly, or even a good man. Like you they can see this mans faults, they are aware of his misdeeds and failings. They don't even follow him because they believe he is making merit for his past sins and wish to aid him in his repentance. They follow him in greater and greater numbers because they have seen with their own eyes the shock and awe of the alternative. They have seen the utter desolation caused by 2 and a half years of total Thaksin rule. They have and continue to see the magnitude of this convicted criminals greed and corruption, even though its is dressed up with his sisters as a facade. Unlike you they are aware of the untold damage this criminal will do to the economy and the Thai people if he is allowed to continue his rape of Thailand. Unlike you they are willing to sacrifice their time and money to ensure that Thaksin doesn't prevail and that no like minded despot can likewise use the loopholes in the constitution to work against the best interests of Thailand and its institutions. Unlike you they believe that it stops now and are prepared to do what it takes to build a democratic foundation that cant be undermined and perverted. There is an arrest warrant out for him. You suggested I should perform a citizens arrest. I said it would be stupid to try. No agreement or disagreement as to whether he should be arrested or not. For the record, I think the charges of treason and sedition for the current protests, and also murder for the 2010 protests are ridiculous.

He has not been tried or found guilty of either. Thaksin has been convicted in a court, fled and has never appealed the verdict. He chooses to try to whitewash the conviction and outstanding more serious charges through political intrigue and changing the law to favor himself. He does not try to contest these in court. He has not been charged, yet, with the murders of those slaughtered in the "war" on drugs without any fair trial or the Muslims executed under his watch. Terrorist charges concerning his leading role in the 2010 insurgency are under review by the new AG as his predecessor decided not to prosecute for a flimsy and ridiculous reason, Now, who is the biggest fugitive?

Don't think so, same / same. No difference at all, just nuances of political intimidation or expression. ( depends how you look at it. ). "Red idiots " ( your phrase ) are showing exemplary restraint in the face of deliberate provocation. Instead of being inflammatory, perhaps you should recognise the restraint so far shown by the "red idiots". Who are the people rejecting dialogue and compromise at this point ??? Shows a massive difference in the philosophy of the 2 camps. Please Dems, declare a war on corruption and execute 2,500 plus politicians and civil servants, then say their leaders did it to protect themselves. Publish the names and numbers in every daily paper, and declare yourself heroes for doing such. I am sure the public will be thrilled as corruption is harming this country more than drugs ever have or will. Problem solved. PS. The war on drugs started because whose son was taking cocaine? Who's in charge of the corruption? And who's in charge of the country? Surely could not be another relative causing all this. The problem with your rant is that I am not on the red side. I am no fan of Thaksin anymore than I am a fan of Suthep. You obviously missed the point, even though unconstitutional and electoral mandate are pretty specific clues to the point I am trying to make. Reform has to be achieved through democratic means, the last time they tried it via undemocratic means hasn't worked out, as evidenced by this whole saga. I know some people on here seem to think a coup or Suthep's council is the better way, the problem is these people have short memories and live in a dream world.

mikemac
Let's not forget Suthep has a case ending with the DSI where he transferred hundreds of Rai of state land in Koh Samui to friends and family members, including his son.Strangely, the hard drives with those files went missing during the Chaeng Watthana occupation. Suthep's goal is not democracy but to avoid going to jail for corruption and the murders of 80+ people. If you are trying to impress us with your vast knowledge of Thai politics, it is not working. And if painting a picture of Suthep as the baddest dude ever, just to make Thaksin look good, well best of luck with that. Whatever floats your boat. Your last poorly planned sentence probably reminded most TV posters of the evil despot from abroad, the one in "self imposed exile".
