DavidMavec
Hello... I am wondering if I hope the Poipet Cambodia border and come right back in order to get a 30 day non-visa stamp in my passport, is there currently a charge on either the Cambodia or Thai side? Thanks.
Wonka
You can only get 15 days visa crossing a land border. It costs $20 on the Cambodian side for a tourist visa..It's possible to change to $ in a shop on the left side of the road in no-mansland. The Cambodian officers ask for an extra fee of 100 Baht. You don't need to pay that. If you refuse to pay, do it politely. The visa office is in a yellow(?) building on the right side near the Cambodian border portal. You must have a photo. If somebody tells you, that you can only get visa through their office on the Thai side, they are trying to scam you.
wayned
AS of 1 November you will get 30 days if you are a citizen of a G7 country. They are the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, Germany, France and Italy. Most others only get 15 days.

Simple $20 for visa, have lunch at the casino an back to Thailand you can also save a lot of hassle by getting an e-visa on line and printing of a couple of copies before you go to the border then you don't need to lose a full page in your passport. Just one page used instead of two. You can find the e-address on TV with no trouble. You stamp out of Thailand walk to the 'In' side hand over your passport with the copy of your e-visa then go to the 'out' side accross the road show the printed visa with your passport and come back to Thailand. Keep a copy of the visa for the Thai side as they may ask to see it, they will be looking for the big green one page visa sticker first off and sometimes ask where the visa is. Poipet is the one place that is very used to seeing them now and it does make things very easy there.
