Popular Post kkerry
If you read the version in the newspaper we can't quote, they report the motorcycle guys were part of a teenage street racing gang which would would seem more logical, but who knows, however not good either way.

Popular Post lawrence1366
Lawlessness is becoming the norm here. The BIB is too busy somewhere else to be bothered with such matters......this country is deteriorating into a 3rd world country. Popular Post soi41
In this very Bhuddist country where a vet refuses to euthanize a suffering animal because of strong beliefs, it seems like everyone is carrying a gun, because killing another human being is considered "normal" . Not a chance...the genie is out of the bottle...you put those guns in the hands of such crazy ppl and hope they'll be more responsible? This is not an isolated case in wonderful Thailand. There were more cases in 2013 than you can count on your hands and feet.

soi41
Most of us are trying to keep a low profile and fly under the radar, to keep safe. Sad thing with nutcases roaming the streets, being in the wrong place at the wrong time can get you killed!! Sometimes I wonder about the average IQ in this country! Popular Post JohnThailandJohn
The word scuffle defines a short, often confusing and usually close quartered fight, it has absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of that scuffle. Rather than act superior (incorrectly) over grammar or words used in an English written article in a country where English is not the main language or not even the official second language, why not stick to the typical comment M.O. of how a item that rates as newsworthy reflects an entire society? Especially when scuffles, as reported by news in English speaking countries, also will report on "scuffles" that result in deaths. The article doesn't say or use the term "minor scuffle". News reports with the phrase "Killed in Scuffle" = https://www.google.com/search?q="killed+in+scuffle"&oq="killed+in+scuffle"&aqs=chrome..69i57.2610j0j4&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 Edited January 1, 2014 by JohnThailandJohn

Felt 35
Not surprized that a fight with fatalities is called a scuffle here because in the midst of this their Government let 3-500 people die in the traffic and repeated twice a year.
1ma
Strange, I've never seen residents attack the local taxi rank with guns, killing the drivers, in my country, or any other country I've lived in. But they aren't peaceful, moral, Buddhist Thais. So perhaps that is why.
1ma
Sounds like turf war not a "scuffle" I wonder what the reason was. Parking space, and the riders damaged a vehicle or vehicals that parked in 'their' declared spaces? Probably not as they don't need that much space.
Credo
It's a scuffle when the people who have little status and importance are killed. Unfortunately, motorcycles may be one of the only reliable methods of getting around when the city gets shut down. Perhaps motorcycle taxi drivers deserve a little more social status. Popular Post CLEVERTREVOR
My wife want's a gun ,,, Having real estate problems with locals,,, She says to protect herself !!! She is also a short tempered , hot headed and dare I say emotionally unstable ,,, I am of the opinion that she is not the only Thai wife with that condition !!! I am sure that after receiving the weaponery ,,, There lies the possibility of a few extinguished persons in front of our house !!! Also would fear for my own safety after an highly emotional day !!! Unfortunately I have been witness to Thai emotions building up ,,, Then the silent treatment ,,, finally a violent rage of uncontrolable anger !!! Maybe this incident has been brewing for a long time and ""BOOM""
