Eighty nine posts just for a game of football, and 25 of them from agsnowdon who seems to be a little confused with Chiangmai's geography.

Really fellas, there are far more important sporting events on this weekend. :o

Yes I was in Loi Kroh and Ron stated that he had just shelled out 60k to get both Saloons up and running with English commentary and he was in the process of having a vinyl sign put up stating exactly that so I would presume he can be taken at his word. I'll be in the one next to the UN Irish place tomorrow at 8 and will post results later if you wish.

Cheers.

I'll be in the Ratwithi one as well. The Loi Kroh Saloon is a bit tight to be fair and I hear the new one has decent aircon. Was going to go with the Vic, but if Ron has defo got English going then that's it for me. Never been to the new Saloon, but I reckon the Vic would be great for atmosphere if busy.

They weren't turning it on during the hottest days of hot season, so I wouldn't count on it now. :o

Ninety minutes of watching twenty two boys running around a field after a ball, hugging each other at every opportunity, come on, you can't be really serious? Can you? :D

Just an excuse for some misplaced patriotism :o

Where are you Chon? Here's the old codgers I was on about :o:D

I agree, it's a bit of a daft notion when put like that, although revelling over a bunch of highly-tuned automobiles whizzing around a trach with overzealous bits-a-boys as drivers is also a tad bewildering (although Silverstone could be good). No misplaced patriotism for me, dunno about the rest, but any patriotism is good in my book whatever you want to call it. :D

Not really that old Jackr, but age has very little to do with it. As a lad my father used to take me to the FA Cup final every year, at Wembley Stadium, and it used to bore me silly. If the truth be know, I would have much prefered to be next next door at the Empire Pool playing ice hockey.

Maybe my dislike for football stemmed from the fact that I was forced into it at school, and playing football on a mud churned field that had turned to solid ice from the overnight's freezing conditions, was just not fun in my book.

On a lighter note.......Silverstone qualifying on live this evening if you get fed up with football :D

I was also forced into it at school and was into other things at the time which was naff, and to be fair, football seems to turn grown men into little boys for some reason. But I enjoy the whole aura of the World Cup with everyone behind their country etc... and seeing The England do well... and all the boozy nights that go with it of course. :D

I'll probably watch the F1 tomorrow anyhow... be nice to see young JB get off the mark. Enjoy :D

Strange that. I was forced into playing Rugby at school "on a mud churned field that had turned to solid ice from the overnight's freezing conditions". For me it has turned into a lifetimes love!

Never liked football though. Too confusing. The ball is either the wrong shape and you get penalised for picking it up, or the sissy players need more padding than Chesty Morgan and a five minute fag break after every thirty seconds of play.

Motorsport - great - but I prefer the mud of Stages to track circling any day. Not that the latter does not have it's plus points too! (I've always been to big for track Karts or cars.)

MM. When you were Karting, did you ever come across a tall, flame-red haired guy by the name of Steve Lawrence. I used to know him some thirty years ago when he was doing quite well on the Kart circuit. Lost contact years ago and always wondered what became of him.

I wasn't karting that long in the UK before I hopped into modified saloons, namely minis. The only fellow karter that leapt into the limelight that I can remember was "Roy james" and if the name doesn't ring a bell, Google it :o

Now rugby I can equate to, as we got a choice in the third form to switch to rugby, although cricket was still mandatory.
