Just got my blanket.

Featured Replies

My wife has today received the usual blanket given out by the local Government office. We didn't get one last Winter as the weather was unusually mild. This one seems to be better quality than those we have received before, but time will tell. It's very pretty, brightly coloured with 'love' and teddy bear slogans. It comes complete with carrying case. Always nice to get something for nothing. You got yours yet?

Not yet.....but I am waiting for the 80 million condoms that the government promised to distributetongue.png

I had a moan about the cold this morning, my missus nailed my hat on me head, telling me I'll be moaning about the heat in 2 more weeks.....and to just to enjoy the cool while it lasts as I'll be begging for it come February, March, April...

Good. Just in time for the warmer weather.

That's like getting Costas2008's condoms after his GF is pregnant and/or he got HIV from one of the girls in a small, unnamed soi.

Blankets last for years back home.

Why do the folks here need a new

one on a yearly basis?

Do they eat them or something?

Since I don't drink anymore, you go ahead and have mine.

They are such poor quality that they are worn out within one year..

Something for nothing???

Who's tax money does the government use to purchase those "free" blankets?

Wouldn't you rather purchase your own good quality blanket if you needed one?

My village was recently flooded.

Everyone was happy to hear the government was coming to give us some "help".

They brought us bottled water....we all drink water fresh water we collect in cisterns and didn't need any plastic bottles!

They also brought canned fish.....throughout the flood the people of the village were netting fish right outside the front door where the road would have been......we had been eating mostly fish for days and didn't need any more of it either!

More of our tax money spent for us on us buying things we do not need.

Thank you!

I bought my girlfriend her own personal blanket. It has cartoon sheep on it. She likes it. She is 39. Actually I like it too.

Your family doesn't go through one blanket a year?

Because that is all they get. If it is cold enough. Most houses have about 5 people in them, One blanket doesn't go too far.

Live in hope like he did as a teenager and walked round with one condom always in his wallet. Always the same one.
