Buddhist Retreat

I plan to retire this year and first port of call for 10 - 14 days is a retreat to clear the mind and hopefully lose some weight.

Any first hand recommendations?

there are a lot fat monks. So some eat a lot.

While others, like Santi Asoke only have slim one.

May depend on the style the temple practice.

It will be a great experience but can't guarantee you'll lose that much physical weight.(You'll shed some mental weight for sure & feel happier and lighter)

Though you don't erat as much while there you are also very sedenbtary so it sort of balances out. Might lose a pound or two but not likely more.

As for "lightening the wallet" these courses are completely free of charge. They run solely on voluntary donations.

Thanks to Alexander Fleming, we now have penicillin to treat diseases like that.

So, no fear of rotting off or being wasted away from VD.

By the way.....are you still a virgin?

Haha no not a virgin. With my partner now for twenty plus years.

Some VDs do not respond to Penicillin. Never mind, there are some smart drug cocktails that will do the trick!
