Deputy Minister of Finance assembles officials to handle IP rights

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Preecha Laohapongchana (ปรีชา เลาหพงศ์ชนะ), has assembled a team of officials to handle intellectual property rights violation during the celebrating ceremony of His Majesty the King's 60th Anniversary of Accession to the Throne.

Mr. Preecha revealed that the Film Federation of America recently traveled to Thailand to congratulate the authorities on intensively cracking down on intellectual rights violations, resulting in special tax exemptions for Thailand from the United States and many other nations.

Mr. Preecha also conducted a meeting with the Royal Thai Police, the department of special investigations, the municipal police, the customs bureau, and the owners of intellectual property rights on measures to prevent such violations.

Mr. Preecha added that there will be added pressure to stop the intellectual property violations from occurring during this grand auspicious occasion.
