January 9, 201412 yr OK I admit it, I was thinking of the Rat Glue, but for Gorillas. According to their website http://uk.gorillaglue.com/eng/glues/glue-list/1/ Gorilla make four varieties of glue, most of which have similar products available here. Since it's unlikely to be Gorillas, what do you want to glue? "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
January 9, 201412 yr Home Pro and your friendly neighborhood hardware store frequented by tradespeople carry proper two-part epoxies that are excellent for most purposes where you'd use GG. I haven't seen any with its characteristic foaming/expansion quality, but to be honest that's often a negative for many applications.
January 9, 201412 yr If you're looking for a good wood glue, Home Pro sells Elmer's. http://www.elmers.com/ Edited January 9, 201412 yr by wayned
January 10, 201412 yr Last time I saw it was at True Value Hardware, in Tiwanon. That branch has closed.I didn't price it. But, I am sure it would be extremely expensive. http://www.truevalue.co.th/location.php
January 10, 201412 yr Great stuff! I just used that last of what I brought from the US with me two years ago. I'll be checking back to see if you locate any. For what it's worth to others......Elmer's and epoxies do not hold a candle to Gorilla Glue!
January 10, 201412 yr And, you might give TOT Latex Adhesive a try - B17 for a small container but that stuff WORKS on everything I've tried it with so far including shoes, wood, metal, ceramic... If I could just get some on my ex's lips...
January 12, 201412 yr All kinds of epoxy, latex, wood, super/crazy, whatever type glues at places like HomePro, Big C, etc....don't get hung-up on wanting to buy a particular manufacturer's trade name (i.e. guerrilla glue). Plus, guerrillas have filed a class action suit against the company for name copyright infringement....if the guerrillas win it will bankrupt the company which means no more guerrilla glue...probably best to use another manufacturer's glue.
January 30, 201412 yr I brought two bottles from the U.S. Glue is horrible here, if you can find the type you want. I brought 5 bottles total with me this trip, different brands and applications, after spending countless hours and far too many baht last year trying inferior products.
July 12, 201510 yr So what is best, imported super glue or the local ones. Need to use it on a metal pole. Big C ?
July 17, 201510 yr I bring in Bison construction glue, the foaming stuff. My experience with thai wood glue for outdoor is very bad. I bought a small plastic bottle of it in Bang sue, a real woodshop, for 150 baht. UHU if i recall well. When i arrived home the bottle was broken in the bag (together with some new tools)...well maybe i stepped or sit on it is what i thought. Then i went to buy me a new bottle of UHU. At home i squeezed the bottle to let some glue come out and then the bottle imploded between my fingers...duhhh. I went back to the shop (big constructionshop) and told them the bottle snapped between my fingers and i didn't squeeze hard. The salesgirl took a new bottle, squeezed very soft and said, this on OK sir. I told her to squeeze harder and then it broke. She couldn't believe it haha. Then all her collegues came to help, all of them snapped a bottle of glue and it was all over the floor and their clothes. They liked it though. Anyway, don't but UHU woodglue for outdoor. They even can't make proper plastic bottles. Any girl can break it. I got my money back for 1 bottle but i broke (and paid) 2. Stuff like this never happens in the West. We tested the UHU from different shops and they all have the same problem.
