I've bought some cleaner at Thaiwhatsado spefically for the build-up, requires gloves and clear the young ones out of area, ventilate space. Works OK. I'll give the vinegar a try. It has to do with type of tile also. My one bathroom is not bad but the other ia a disaster - different type of tile.
