tweezer
Hi, We use TOT HiSpeed internet in Khlong Luang (Pathum Thani). Over the past week, we have found that we cannot access some websites. For examples: Websites that work fine: Facebook Google Bangkok Post The Nation Reddit edition.cnn.com (CNN's international news site) Websites that do NOT load at all: thaivisa.com/forum/ (but thaivisa.com itself loads fine)! us.cnn.com livememe.com Thai Airways and many others random site. Yahoo loads only sometimes. Does anybody else experience this with TOT? I suspect they have some DNS handling issues or something. If you have had this problem and figured out how to get around it, please share any advice. Thanks! T
GinBoy2
Try changing your DNS server. Go into your router and select 'manual DNS'. Try google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
flash77
I also have TOT in Klong Luang, and although I haven't had any sites that would not load at all, I did notice rather slow access last night and possibly on weekend. I just checked my DNS servers: two are TOT (203.113.5.130, 203.113.127.199) and one is Google 8.8.8.8. As suggested above, try setting one of your DNS server addresses to a Google address. A quick way to test different DNS servers (and whether your default ones are working) is using nslookup. PS Just as I tried to post this I had a problem accessing Thaivisa, which reminded me I had a similar problem today accessing TV at work. Maybe overloaded? tweezer
Hi Folks... thanks each of you for your replies. I went into my router and set 3 static DNS IP's: Google's 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, and OpenDNS 208.67.222.222. And it works. All the sites that wouldn't load before now load just fine. Thanks again!
