I would like to find out what everyone thinks if the following application would be successful or if I would be wasting time with it. I only have 3 weeks to sort it out, because I already have a flight back to Thailand.

+ German passport

+ age 29, female

+ will be in South Africa for 3 weeks and send application to Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria

+ have a lease contract for a house in Phuket for one year already

+ I will not need a work permit, will not work, have own business outside Thailand

What I want to send:

- completed Application form for multiple entry Non-Immigrant O visa for 12 months

- letter from the owner of a Muay Thai gym stating that they want to support my visa application for one year to train with them and fight for their gym in Thailand and other countries

- 2 passport photos

- application fee (not sure yet how much I have to send)

- passport

- cover letter explaining that I need a multiple entry visa because I have a business in South Africa and need to travel there every once in a while, also since I might travel to fight in other countries

- perhaps a copy of my lease for the house I stay in in Phuket? (you think this would help to show them I can take care of myself, the lease is quite expensive and could prove I have money?)

Thanks for your opinion, has anyone done this before? Would "O" be the correct type to apply for? Actually, on the form I just underline "Non-Immigrant" I dont need to say what type, right?

Thanks!

If the MuayThai gym has company paperwork as well, this will be required in most Embassies. Just put Non Immigrant. multi-entry on the request.

Thanks, that was great advice. I confirmed with the Thai embassy in South Africa that they do need a copy of the companies registration papers, so I did send them in as well in the first place. I am only in South Africa for two weeks, so had I not known this, I might not have gotten the visa back in time before my flight back to Thailand. The lady from the embassy confirmed that the visa was issued now, I should get it tomorrow. That was relatively easy :o

Thanks again, I might be contacting you for some advice on investing / opening a business in Thailand.
