Popular Post Brevity
Is this a joke? They sent a "team" to do something about narcotics on Walking Street and all they found was one foreigner with 3 grams of weed. But then they even weren't able to keep him apprehended. In the meantime there were probably about 100 Thai teens close by either on or selling Yaba.
Popular Post Kerryd
If he'd just played along, they'd have probably gave him a fine, kept the pot and kicked him out the door. Now he's probably facing jail time and deportation.

To be clear there are a (very) few jurisdictions in NA which have decriminalised ganja. In MOST jurisdictions the 'war on drugs' is still raging and destroying innocent lives. For the NA black and Latino communities simple possession carries significant jail time and props up an entire industry of incarceration. Popular Post alocacoc
If Thailand would legalize or at least liberalize weed, they would have less problems with Yaba and Alcohol.
KittenKong
If Thailand would legalize or at least liberalize weed, they would have less problems with Yaba and Alcohol. They would get a lot less income from alcohol duty also, and for that reason alone it is unlikely to happen.

Briggsy
Oh yes, being caught with the weed would have cost him a disproportionate amount of money, who knows 5000, 10000 Baht? Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app I hope real soon, Thailand ( I know it's not decriminalized yet) . The UK and the USA ( except Colorado and Washington state because it' s legal there but still a Federal crime LOL) should go one step beyond decriminalization and legalize it. Tax it. Free jails of this stupid crime! Just watch the model Colorado will show to the world especially after the first year kinks are worked out. People who want it get it people who never tried it before will not. It's not like putting a casino down the street. I hate the States putting up casinos everywhere and then Grand ma gets addicted to the slots and tables and never played before. This guy has 3 f'n grams only. Oh yeah and people don't smoke and go home and beat their wife up they go home and demand some noodles.
