media
We are Traveling Pattaya to Siam Reep. I see that Bangkok Air have the option of "Blue Ribbon Business class" and seeing that I am traveling with some elderly people I thought it might be more comfortable for them. Q: has anyone tried this service? is it worth the extra cost? I have not been to Siam Reep so any recommendations are appreciated Thanks

Asiantravel
It is not that far. When the plane levels off at cruising altitude it's almost time to descend again. Save the money on the airline ticket and use it to pay for more upmarket ground transportation such as a rental car with driver for your elderly travelling companions which they might find more comfortable than the traditional Khmer tuk tuk’s or taxi motorbikes Edited January 16, 2014 by Asiantravel

media
Thanks for the replies. Think I will take the advice from "asiantravel" The flight is only 70mins and the extra cost is considerable 5 people return trip is 44.000 economy and 85000 blue ribbon class (business) Sent from my SM-N9005 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
WaywardWind
A word of caution on lodging in Siem Reap. Most of the larger hotels are quite a bit out of town - fine, if you don't foresee leaving the hotel, but if you want yo walk around town at night - very lively and safe - then you need to focus on those that are close to city center. We found the Steung Siem Reap to be delightful. Cleand and comfortable, excellent staff, and close to Pub Street (where many restaurants and shops are located). http://www.steungsiemreaphotel.com/
Mojomor
Cost for car with driver to Aranyaprathe from Pattaya is approx 3000 baht. On the other side at Poipet it's approx 30 USD for car with driver to Siam Reap. Times are approx 3.5 hours from Pattaya to border. Approx 2hours or less from Poipet to Siam Reap. Allow 1 hour for border crossing in your calcs and opt for the express service at the border, which costs an extra 100 baht (700/800). Enjoy your journey. Don't know. Never left my car there --- but there probably are quite a few. At Koh Khong crossing from Had Lek I normally leave my car at the Casino car park, which is 50 mt from the border. Costs 200 baht per day, is floodlit with 24 hour guard, and never had a problem.
