The Sunrise for Thai Industrial Energy Project will be launched on May 24

The Energy Ministry will launch its Sunrise for Thai Industrial Energy project on May 24 at Siam Paragon shopping center.

Energy Minister Viset Chupiban (วิเศษ จูภิบาล) said the event will feature new energy-saving innovations, including those using alternative fuels that helped entrepreneurs save 47.8 million baht annually such as clean coal technology and solar-powered air conditioning system.

Mr. Viset said the ministry has set a target to save energy costs of 5,000 industrial factories and buildings by another 3 billion baht within 6 months from now.

Earlier energy-saving campaigns carried out in more than 20,000 factories and buildings across the country have helped cut energy costs by 15 billion baht, he said.
