Security cameras and DVR

Does anyone know of a store selling quality domestic security cameras and DVRs, maybe in kit form, in lower Issan, SiSaKet / Ubon area preferably? I have a requirement for at least 4 cameras and to be able to record the picture on all simultaneously for several days.

There is a shop in Sunni Grand Plaza (Ubon) that specialises in CCTV security systems. They have many kits and a wide range of cameras.

Although I have never bought anything from them I have stopped and spoken to them a number of times and they seem knowledgeable.

My only complaint is that all their cameras are analogue cameras that go i to an analogue -Digital converter which then can be accessed from the net and the pictures stored on a hard drive.

For my needs I would prefer IP based cameras direct to my NAS storage.

If I was home in Ubon I could give you more details, but the shop is easy to find on the IT floor of the Sunny Grand shopping mall.

Advice computer shop sell them www.advice.co.th . They are located in Sisaket just south of Nona bar, turn left at traffic lights, 100m on the right. However, I have bought from E-Bay, better equipment at lower prices.

Seen them at home pro and tha watasdu. You will have to set up a ddns account and do the port forwardind if you wish to remote view. Make sure there is a harddrive in the dvr. 4 cameras and dvr should be in the 9 to 14K baht range. Have installed 3 sets here. 1 kguard I brought from Texas and 2 PeopleFU brand gotten locally and installed for friend. The hardest part is running wires hidden.

I myself still prefer to live in an area of Thailand, where no electronic security systems, guard dogs, 3 meter high walls with barbed wire on top are required.

Cheers.

Everywhere in Thailand requires vigilance - so my missus says. She would not trust her fellow citizens as far as she could throw them.

Easy: Province Ratchabury. The dogs the locals keep here are "pets". High walls surrounding property, not known here. Crime? Occasional domestic violence.

The police force here is in a constant state of boredom.

So, why is it that most Farangs settle in the least desirable part of Thailand, the Isaan?

Because the "Lady" happens to come from there. All said.

Cheers.

what good are cctv cameras when all burglers are wearing balaclarvers ,helmets and are dressed like workmen,

6ft.high wall and 3 way spiked steel system welded on top,one wrong move and they will be there when you come home.

You could add dogs onto your list too.

CCTV's whether working or not act as a deterent to would be thieves.

They aren't necessarily used to protect private property. Ours are used in a business environment. It cuts down on shoplifting and reduces the chances of burglary.

Conveniently placed they can record motorcycle or number plate details along with the balaclava covered thieves.

yes you need them if its to protect your business,we had dummy ones in a shop in the uk that worked ok for us.

as for having a dog to protect I wouldn't leave ours alone for some low life to poison or stab he doe's sleep at night with us so I know he's safe.we had the Maxwell wire-less security wisdom system fitted in our house last yr which covers everywhere with a nice big siren front and back,so if they did manage to scale the fence then break in the alarm would go off and the 24hr.security guards would come running iffffffffffff they were awake.

True that I don't find any other reason to stay in ESAAN as the countryside closer to Bangkok is as good and maybe safer.

Actually why is ESAAN so dangerous ?

Anybody bought a CCTV on Lazada ? Which model ?

Thank you.

Nope on Lanza. Pricing seems a little high. They are all basically the same though.
