May 20, 200620 yr Hi Guys I just got back from bangkok this morning at 9am, i spent 9days with the Mrs. ..... it was wonderful!! i am writing about a letter that my fiance recv'd from the embassy stating that it will take approx 6months to process the application it mentions nothing about finishing early if app is comprehensively completed at the time of submission just wondering how other guys have faired, and if any of u have any comments to make. our app was lodged on the 25th jan 06.
May 21, 200620 yr Markww, The quoted time of six months is usually enough for the Australian Embassy to make a decision and to inform the applicant of that decision. I don't know of any cases where the application time has exceeded six months. In practice the whole process is usually completed in less time than that. Somewhere between three and five months with an average time of about four months. Should the embassy require follow up information from the applicant, this could futher delay the end result. You have been waiting for four months now, so notification of the decision must surely be just around the corner, provided of course that you weren't asked for further evidence/documents.
