Cable Fire in Central Pattaya

A 10 meter stretch of Telecommunication Cables were destroyed on Tuesday afternoon, causing hundreds of homes on the East Side of Pattaya to lose their Cable TV signals and phone and internet connections.

The incident occurred in front of the Easy Buy Shop at the corner of Soi Sukhumvit 63 and began with a spark from a power supply unit, quickly leading to a major fire which engulfed the batch of cables.

Poorly equipped Pattaya Fire Rescue Units arrived and struggled to extinguish the fire after more than 30 minutes of trying.

Well, at least it maybe cleaned up that mess of cables, but then again, they will just put up more of the same.

Lucky it did not take out the electricity supply as well.
