From TTR Weekly, by Don Ross Minister for Hotels and Tourism in Myanmar - U Htay Aung. KUCHING, 21 January 2014: Myanmar has adequate airline connectivity and room capacity in the capital Nay Pyi Daw to host the 2015 Asean Tourism Forum, Minister of Hotels and Tourism, Htay Aung told TTR Weekly on the sidelines of the regional trade show Monday. Commenting on the country’s ability to host its first ever ATF, he said there were over 4,000 hotel rooms and plenty of guest house accommodation in the capital for trade show delegates. The event attracts around 1,600 delegates including 900 sellers 100 media and 350 to 450 international buyers. Myanmar’s capital city, located around 400 km north of Yangon, has two convention centres with adequate facilities and capacity to host the ATF.
