Pattaya Hospital sees 36,579 patients in first 8 months
PATTAYA:--Pattaya Hospital saw more than 36,000 patients in its first eight months of operation, even through the hospital had yet to open fully in 2013.

In a press conference called to review projects begun by city hall last year, Pattaya spokeswoman Yuwathida Jeerapat said the Soi Buakaow facility took 36,579 cases.

Diseases related to the respiratory system were the most-common ailment treated with 6,320 cases. Circulatory-system cases totaled 6,026, digestive-system cases amounted to 5,595 and endocrine-system cases totaled 4,377, she said.

More than two years late and 23 million baht over budget, Pattaya Hospital only fully partially opened in April and all its 86 beds only became available this month.
