Yamaha Nouvo SX shocks

What aftermarket shocks are available for the Nouvo SX? I removed one of my shocks and it measures 290mm in length (between the mounting holes). YSS only makes 270mm shocks for the older Nouvo MX and 310mm shocks for the Nouvo Elegance and Honda PCX. I didn't want to buy the 310mm shocks because I wasn't sure if jacking up the rear end by 20mm was going to cause problems. I'm surprised that YSS hasn't made a shock specifically for the SX yet since this is a fairly popular bike here.

Has anybody installed longer shocks on the SX?

20mm higher will definitely cause you no problems at all. Besides YSS are adjustable, so you can buy the 310mm and adjust it to be lower or even the 290mm if you don't plan to carry a passenger.

Have you actually done this on an SX or similar bike?

Only a couple of models are adjustable and the range is only plus/minus 5mm.

What about the YSS shocks with reservoirs on them? Might need to get shocks with the reservoirs at the bottom, since ones at the top might not clear the opening in the plastic undertail.

Here's a 310mm YSS shock with the reservoir at the top (and it's length adjustable also)...

I ended up installing a set of 310mm shocks intended for the Honda PCX...

They fit fine including the reservoir just barely clearing the opening in the plastic undertail. The back end is now jacked up 20mm, but it's only slightly noticeable when riding it. Now I need to upgrade the front fork springs/oil because they are very mushy and bottom out easily.

Where can a get heavier fork springs in Bangkok?
