LaraC
Sorry, im not able to help, but your question did get me curious as i had never heard that before. I found this article: http://mgr.manager.co.th/China/ViewNews.aspx?NewsID=9540000011363Other more knowledgeable members are sure to give you a more definate answer, but if this article is anything to go by is comes from a Chinese term meaning a pushy / strict mother. i did go to google images first and showed women in tiger print looking sexy and i though "cougar" lol..and wondered if you gf is older than you. ..but im applying a western term to thai language, so i realise thats off.Hope you get a better answer, im interested to know too. Edit: Just found this too: http://www.yourdictionary.com/tiger-mom http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Tiger%20Mother Edited January 25, 2014 by LaraC
Ajaan
The full term is แม่เสือสาว. LaraC, you're actually correct in your assumption, it is very close to the English slang "cougar;" it means a [usually older] woman who has the ability to attract many men and get them to fall in love with her.
