Hi, I got extension till 1 march, and then I plan to go get double visa, somewhere around.

I am now on 3ple entry tourist from UK, its my first stay that long, I got few other visas in pasport all from UK, and all like 3 weeks holiday and go back to uk, then 6 months later come for another 3 weeks, i got few of them used...

Now my 3ple visa is going to run out, and I like to stay more in thailand, so I plan go somewhere to get it.

I never did it before so would like some help...

I got in mind Laos, as its cheap to get to, and I read its easy to get visa..

And my other destination in mind is Hong Kong, as I would like to travel a bit with gf there..., from what I read it might be more hussle getting visa in HH, like more questions, and may b show bank acc...

I am not sure

Is it much hasla in hh with first visa in asia ?

and how about laos? where to go there what city?

Or may b some some other destination info please

can i fly to cambodia direct to capitol and get it there?

i like hk but worry i might not get it or too many questions there... sort of speak

is it direct flights to laos city where u get visa from air asia?

i want use air asia the most

I want it to be smooth...

Is it Vietnaine in laos nice city?

I run out of time need book flights soon

I want go by air btw.

Vientiane, would be my guess. Looking at reports on these pages and in the Pinned Topics Section, PP in Cambodia doesn't seem too helpful, or Hong Kong for that matter.

Air Asia does not fly to Vientiane (and yes, it's a nice city). AFAIK, only Lao Airlines flies to Vientiane from BKK, and it's expensive. Your best option is to fly Air Asia (or Nok) to Udon Thani, then take the 200 baht van (about 40 min.) to the border. You can find detailed accounts of this trip if you search in this forum.

Cambodia takes 4 days and I'm not sure if you can get a double anymore. Do to the length of time that it takes there have not been many reports recently.

Vientiane or Savannakhet are the only nearby locations doing 2 entry tourist visas.

Hong Kong is only single entry

Oh i read on pinned post that hk is double.

Can get to Savannakhet by air?

All recent reports I can recall for HK is single entry visas.

You can fly Lao airways direct to Savannakhet but you will find it expensive.

Nok Air has fly/ride service to Mukdahan which is across the river from there via Nakhon Phanom.

If you don't mind going a bit farther you could get a three entry in Bali but you would need one ticket out of Thailand withing the 6 months the visa will be valid for.

I looked at Nok Air flights.

Its good price to gonto Vietnaine about 3200thb

Mukdahan bit.more 4200...

My question is is it.much harder to get double in Vietnaine?

Thats good news as Vietnaine is easier and cheaper to get to.

So if its same i would hit Vietnaine i think.

Guess much more to do there then Savannakhet?

I just would like more info on vietnaine vs suvankhet

For me vietnaine got direct flight for 3500 nok air

Only what bothers me.is that some says savanakhet more easy getting double, so confused.

I got all visas from uk..

Should i forget hong kong without return ticket and no foregin bank statements? And hk only single?

How about singapore or kuala lumpur

Thx

Only in Laos will you get a double entry, at both consuates it is not difficult. Bali might be another possibility.

KL is currently unfriendly and requires a ticket out, Singapore is also not that freindly and very strict.

Amigo, if you want a special discovery do follow my trip which I have made in your shoes before.

- I flew to Udon Thani, than by minivan to the border, Nongkhai,

- Vientiane in Laos. For Vient. enough 2 days, I rented motorbike ( a fake honda click in chink-lao co production, but was OK, my guest house cost was 400 B/night )

- I flew to north Huay Xai (cost 100 usd with lao air was a really nice flight)

- in Huay Xai a spent 2 days, slept in a true bamboo house (200 B / night)

- 2 days slow boat trip to Luang Prabang in Mekong river. this was wonderful. one night in midway in a genuine Lao village which has electricity by a diesel inductor, room 100 B for night.

- Luang Prabang (really WOWWWW) 3-4 days with excursions by local minivans to around, and a unforgettable national parks with over-many waterfalls.

- I went back to Vientiane by bus (half day), I almost vomited about narrow mountain roads, which have only lane mostly.

- From Vientiane (over 2 nights in same guest house) I traveled to deep-south (Champasak) by sleeping bus !!!! I had no idea what is it when I paid the cost advance. but this was OK, the cost was around 800 B, but very long way, started around 8 pm and arrived next day at 9 am.

- I slept in Pakse close to Khmer Wat Phou which was also unforgettable.

- I came back to TH to touch Ubon Rachatani, which was also a nice experience.

- From Ubon to BKK by train, first class coupe was around 1000 B and was comfortable as it can with a huge bad for me.

The trip was around 3 weeks but either of best my experiences of my life.

In Vientiane in the Patuxhay park I met a beautiful 19 yrs old girl (Nethnapa). Her kindness and care of me (had not sex) was a special and matchless. I asked her to come with me to TH but she repelled she studied in university.

That's all.

If you need any further ...

Sounds fun, but I only want go for visa.

Dont want 12h buses rides...

Not this time

So my options are fly direct to Vietnaine or fly to Mukdahan and take van to Savanakhet...

Vietnaine is cheaper fligjt by 1000thb and direct..

And people reports both locations are same when apply for visa, so i guess I be booki g fligjt to vietnaine. .

Thx anyway...

Not exactly true - THAI have been flying for years nowadays they have a double daily flight as does Lao Airlines that you've already mentioned. Bangkok Airways tends to be a bit cheaper than THAI and does a daily flight every morning and back around lunchtime. Lao Central is a new start-up private carrier that is quite cheap although I personally wouldn't trust them. Otherwise, flying to Udon is your best bet and then take a minivan to the border.

Its sounds to me that the bottom line here should be the main priority which is extending your stay and applying for your double entry without any disruptions .Forget about all the trival's

The post with Nongkhai,- Vientiane in Laos. instructions seems the best thing.Especially that many others have done this recently in the past IMOP

I got direct flight from Nok air to Vientiane just for 3500 thb.

So be heading there smile.png

mataleo

That is a good arrangement via Udon I understand but it can be a problem for the return flight because of their bus schedule. It can be hard to pick up your passport and get to the pick up point on time.

Yeh direct flight sounds better for me its even cjeaper then going to udon..

mataleo

Nok Air flights are not direct to Vientiane they are fly/ride via Udon.

This note is at bottom of reservation page.

*** Fly’n’Ride service, This is not a direct flight

I think you read my long thing on Vietienne. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/630939-vientianne-visa-run-april-23-very-detailed-itenerary/

Call that guy if you want some tours. He's so awesome and nice. Get a "cow-gee-pa-tay". It's a french roll with patay and pickled carrot, radish, cilantro and you pick other stuff. I wish I can bring a truckload back with me. Vientienne seems "quiet" to me. In and out no worries. Also, you CAN get a bus add on with Nok Air from airport to border, then the cheap ride across the bridge. Good luck to you and please let us know how you find it - where ever you go.

Thanks!
