I am looking for Land Traffic Act otherwise known as driving/traffic laws in Thailand in Thai to download as pdf or maybe on the web. I have them in a PDF file in English but need them in Thai. Does anyone know of or have a link to download a pdf the Thai traffic laws in Thai? I have already googled and gone to Thai bookstores with zero success.

Wow just read the rules and it just shows how incompetent the police are in enforcement, and how incompetent Thai's are at driving.

There would not be a single Thai person who could tell you 10% of these rules

10%? That is too high. I had an accident with a motorbike, the motorbike was in the left lane and I was in the right lane both driving the same direction on a highway. Motorbike was going 30km/h and I going 88.5km/h(gps video dash camera). The motorbike turned right in front of me with no warning, the motorbike in the video never looked, never signaled, did not move to right 30m before turning and did not have a license. One second before impact the motorbike just turned right in front of me from his lane in to mine. We were on a through highway with no intersections just rice fields on both sides of the road. The police said I needed to honk my horn before passing any motorbike even if in another lane, and it was my fault because I was going faster than the motorbike and that I hit the motorbike from behind, and the police officer said it is always the trucks fault. I was going strait on strait highway with clearly marked yellow and white lines with no intersections and I was not exceeding speed limit and I have a valid license. The law says you must look first and give through traffic the right away, signal 60m before, move right 30m before, have a license. Police said doesn't matter what the motorbike does, always the trucks fault. The police do not know or do not follow the laws.

Although I sympathize with you, it's just another example of the way things are done in Thailand.

What happen to you is very common, small motorbikes do pull across you quite often, and yes you have to watch out for that and them because the ruling mainly " right or wrong " is they are smaller than you, whether they do wrong or not is bye the way.

Boy scout moto applies here for me " Be Prepared " .thumbsup.gif

My favorite one is if on a 2 way road and there are 2 large juggernaut lorries heading toward you because one is overtaking the other, they will expect you to give way, even if your option is a ditch. w00t.gif
