They tell you which box to put it in. They also apparently instructed others wrongly too. Of course, I probably would've checked myself to make sure it was the right box, but you wouldn't expect these people to get something so simple wrong. Why not,? They do it every day, however, there is not always a camera in place to immortalize them in celluloid or should that be cellulite in this case. Moreover, there were already ballots of the same colour that Yingluck put in the box in that same box - so there was no reason for her to doubt the instructions. It seems they were instructing everyone wrongly. Probably mislabelled the boxes. So the story isn't really so funny regards Yingluck's purported stupidity, but more worrying as EC officers should be able to get basic things like properly labelling boxes correct. I am glad you cleared all this up based on the information from the trusted Bangkok Post. For a moment I was fearful that Yingluck was indeed an idiot however it now appears that it is the EC and their employees that are idiots. My wife just told me the same thing and there was only one wrong ballot paper in the wrong ballot box. If it is true, has she always voted incorrectly and never been caught out before? Thais can all read quite well as Thailand has a very high literacy rate and voter turn out in Thailand is quite high, much higher than say in the US. The work in progress known as the Thai Constitution is constantly in the news. I am far more concerned about my home country of the USA where the voters have allowed both politicians and the courts to trample upon their constitutional rights. If there is one group of nationalists who do not understand their constitution it is Americans. Perhaps it is Khun Somtam and those who "liked" his post who do not understand Thailand. I heard that too, it defies belief that she could be so ignorant as to put an O not an X, every Thai knows you must mark the ballot paper with an X. It can't be true, the PM can't even vote correctly, never mind run the country,.OMG........ it must be a conspiracy, the elite and amart have ganged up on her, perhaps her pen would only move in a circular motion, perhaps she is colour blind regarding orange and green. You can see the worker staring at the ballot while she was putting it into the box. What the hell is she thinking, and how can the PM see what box it is the writing is on the front and she is behind it. And staring at the vote is probably all she is allowed to do. Her job is to ensure the vote is placed in a box and not removed from the polling place. I feel sorry for these young girls. Suddenly and without warning placed in front of the cameras of the world. THe whole scene will do wonders for Thailands image. One well dressed in expensive clothes with all the makeup done professionally and very expensive watch on wrist being kow towed too by three poorly dressed ladies. Just shows the class divide and we are talking about the leader of a party that is supposedly against the "upper" classes, Beautiful Thailand,.....Amazing Thailand.
