Accident Two Dead After Truck Hits Pedestrian and Crashes Into Another Truck in Chachoengsao

A crash on the morning of 12 July, on Suwinthawong Road in Chachoengsao province has claimed two lives after a 10-wheel truck collided with a pedestrian before crashing into the rear of a 22-wheel trailer truck. Police from Mueang Chachoengsao Station were alerted to the incident near Wat Ton Tan, Village No. 5, Wang Takhian Subdistrict. Upon arrival, officers found the 22-wheel trailer truck (license plate from Pathum Thani) parked by the roadside with rear-end damage. The 10-wheel truck (license plate from Saraburi), which was carrying cargo of glass, destined for delivery, had severe front-end damage and scattered vehicle parts littered across the road. The driver of the 10-wheeler was found dead behind the wheel. Nearby, the body of a male pedestrian, believed to be a Myanmar national, was also found. It is suspected that he was struck by the 10-wheeler before the vehicle crashed into the 22-wheeler. Rescue volunteers recovered the truck driver’s body from the vehicle and transported both deceased individuals to Phutthasothon Hospital for autopsy. Mr. Somwang 59, the driver of the 22-wheel truck, told police he had stopped by the roadside to inspect his vehicle before continuing his delivery to a major shopping mall. Moments later, the 10-wheeler crashed into the rear of his truck. Authorities are currently collecting evidence from the scene and reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision. Crime Revenge Killing: Man Arrested in Murder of Former Drug Convict

Police have arrested one of three suspects involved in the cold-blooded murder of Ittipat, alias “Pond Moklan,” a former local gangster recently released from prison on drug charges. The arrest sheds light on a revenge plot rooted in a street altercation involving the victim and the suspect’s nephew. The 27-year-old victim was gunned down in broad daylight while selling bananas outside his home in Tha Sala district, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The brazen killing stunned locals and sparked an intensive investigation by provincial and local police units. On 11 July, officers apprehended Mr. Suthat, also known as “That,” aged 51, who admitted to being part of the hit team. According to his confession, he was the one riding the motorcycle and pointing out the target on the day of the shooting. Mr. Suthat told police that he hired another man, Mr. Amnat, to arrange the actual gunman, identified only as “Por,” who carried out the execution. The motive, he claimed, was personal revenge: months earlier, Pond allegedly kicked over his nephew’s motorbike near Phuyai Pluem junction, causing him to crash and nearly be run over by oncoming traffic. “I wanted to settle the score for my nephew. He could’ve died that day,” Mr. Suthat reportedly told investigators. Despite his arrest, he showed no remorse and stated firmly that he would not apologise to the victim’s family. Police are still hunting the two remaining suspects, the gunman and the intermediary and are expected to press charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder against all involved.
