ED visa and dependant visa

Hi, it my first time here posting. i have got a placement from a private university for my degree course for 3 years. i would like to know if my wife and 2 year old son can get a dependent visa under my ED visa. and also what are the document and financial proof required to get a visa for my wife and son.

If you get an extension of stay (not a visa) at immigration based upon your studies your wife and child can get extension as your dependents.

There is no financial requirements. Just proof of your extension and marriage/birth certificate to prove relationship. If they are not in English they must be translated to Thai and then certified by the MFA.

Before applying for the extension they will need single entry non-o visas from an embassy or consulate. They will need to show the same proof to get them as the extension.
