Alert over rice rally in Bangkok

webfact

Recommended Posts

"Yingluck reportedly often works at this office"...

Doing her nails is work?

"NSC secretary-general Paradorn Pattanatabut said flocks of farmers have now taken to the streets"...

Again wrong choice of words, the farmers are no sheep anymore.

The Nation's article is completely different then the article in this mornings newspaper which stated that Rawee Runjgruang, leader of the network of rice farmers from Western provinces "affirmed their rallies are not political and the farmers only want the government to pay them for the rice"

So now that they are not joining Suthep's protest you will then change your mind of what they are called!

Cheers

The point is, they are not coming to Bangkok to cheer on the government. They are coming here to protest against it.

You do not make the point, the article attempts to spread and that other posters have posted to.

They are not coming to join the protest, but to seek payment for their rice from the government,.

The government needs to meet with them and tell them they have done all they can do and ask a delegation of the farmers to go to the EC and see if EC will approve the loan, so they can receive their long awaited payment,!If the EC refuses to approve the loan, the farmers will know who is causing them all their problems!

Cheers

But for Suthep blockading the banks and Gov offices it would have been paid.

The decision is now made to release the funds, but the EC have to approve it tomorrow.

All eyes on the EC then as they seek to block payments to the very people they are trying to bring to their side. Oh for a simple life

From above: "But for Suthep blockading the banks and Gov offices it would have been paid."

How's that possible? The cookie jar was already empty when the puppet announced the dissolution.

Why.. let the government loan the money.. that would break the law and give ground to get rid of them.

What the government wants is a get out of jail card for free. It wont happen.

They made this mess and now they want to get out of it without accepting punishment.

They could have gotten the money but it would have put them at risk.. they don't want that.

They made a problem (payment was due far before the protests and before you dissolve a government you make provisions if your capable that is) Also you don't lie over a a program like this like they did. All they want is to loan this money without consequences instead of taking the blame and getting removed from power over it like they rightly should.

You've completely got the wrong end of the stick.

The farmers are not only coming from western provinces but also from Pitsanulok & other provinces - those from red-shirt land have to be very careful that they are not 'prevented' from protesting. They are joining Suthep's protests, not out of love for Suthep, but out of frustration with a corrupt and incompetent caretaker government that has indebted them.

You also seemed to miss the fact that the report says that the NSC Sec-Gen used the word 'flocks'. Why don't you take it up with him.

You really need to catch up on the current news The government has been a care taker government and needs to be pro-active, make an agreement with the farmers signed, sealed, and give it to a delegation of farmers to meet with the EC for approval.

Put the ball back in the EC court!

You are still playing the wrong game, there is no get out of Jail free card, get it!

Cheers

How do you know, conclusively, whether they are not backing the reform protest?

A bunch of what? You don't know or are making up what you're writing about. Check the Bangkok Post - more farmers arriving today.

I don't have any problem with any word. You made the inane comment in you're previous post: So now that they are not joining Suthep's protest you will then change your mind of what they are called!

Both Suthep's groups and the farmers are protesting against an inept ex- (hopefully) government. Is that too difficult to understand?

If able to read what I stated is in the B. P. front page lower right hand corner, there are only two major articles on the front page, you should be able to find it

If you will notice, I made the comment to a post by Ericberg, had nothing to do with you, see no reason why you should get your jockey's in a knot over it, understand!

A family member that has not been paid is in Bangkok now, He definitely not joining the protest, you need to wake up and quit dreaming! Only in your dreams!
