Buddha Issara accused of owning Chiang Mai properties

This so called monk is the biggest con artist since Wiraphon Sukphon, the jetsetting pedo monk with 41 bank accounts that was disrobed about a year ago.

The sooner he is disrobed and behind bars, the better.

Why! What proof do you have that the Monk in question is a con artist?

He doesn't need proof, just writes what his red handler tells.

He is still wearing robes, isn't he ?

Before you all start bashing, let's wait and see if Buddha Issara, really owns the property.coffee1.gif

Like the fake story "Suthep buys land from the donations". The reds are never ashamed to lie....

It wasn't a 'fake story'. It was a report of a 'suggestion' by Prompong that Suthep's son may have bought the land using donations. In fact it appears that although he did buy the land, it was bought before these protests had even began. I for one am glad Khao Sod started translating some of their articles into English because it means we get a mix of unsubstantiated rumours from both sides of the political spectrum now. Like I said before, some have a basis in truth, others don't. It's up to readers to be skeptical and not to instantly believe any rumour that fits with their narrative.

Actually no, it's from a few days ago. 29th January 2014.

Tan, Suthep's son bought land worth 280 million baht a few days ago.

The question is not whether he bought it from donations,

but rather, where did the money come from? Which Sanook then dug into.

It's a perfectly reasonable question to ask!

[added Google translate the articles if you don't speak Thai]

Actually it was reported that

"In the land purchase document allegedly obtained by Pheu Thai Party, the name of the son of PCAD leader Suthep Thaugsuban was also listed as a co-buyer."

Of course with a Khaosod English article one might wonder about subtleties in English, but the key word in that sentence is the "also", as in first Suthep and btw also his son.

Well, he did want to sell his temple in Nakhon Pathom because of smells from a nearby pet factory, for 67 million baht.

A Buddhist abbot in Thailand said his temple is being listed for sale because of the constant "stench" from a nearby pet food factory. Luang Pu Buddha Issara, the abbot of Wat Or Noi in Nakhon Pathom, said he wants to sell the temple, which was founded in 1990, for $67 million and donate the proceeds to a foundation, the Bangkok Post reported Monday."The bad smell is from the pet factory, which is just [328 yards] from here and it is causing problems for monks and novices here," the abbot said.He said he plans to move to the forest to practice dharma once the temple is sold. http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2013/01/21/Buddhist-temple-for-sale-due-to-odor/UPI-90921358789217/

So it's official, there is a bad smell to Buddha / Part time Protest Leader Issara. If only he had sold the temple and moved to the jungle to practice dharma, all of this unpleasantness could have been avoided.

Nice wristwatch on the arm of the accuser in the picture. Wonder how much that cost and where did those funds come from?

And what about the shirt, pants and glasses? It all must spell corruption right? Not like someone who dresses like and pretends to be a monk.

Buddha needs to be thrown in jail, he will be defrocked as a result, he has failed to observe the law, he is owning property under false pretenses, I hope he is not following in Suthep footsteps and buying property with donated money.

Suthep is a prime example, once a crook, always a crook!

Cheers

Do you normally assume that, because a claim, so far unsupported by evidence, has been made - in this case by members of a political party with much to lose, or win - that it must be true?

Man, the apologists have gone quiet for MONTHS now. They would have had us believe Thailand is a modern, newly developed country where the majority of Thais in authority are actually good, incorruptible people.

I suspect that an overwhelming majority of Thais in such positions of power and authority are similarly corrupt.

Entire culture is built around attaining status which wins you the right to exploit people how you see fit. And, a nation of people who are taught to NEVER question or challenge someone 'bigger' than you .

Here is the dear Buddha Issara monk. Is this the way to treat people in Buddhism?

This guy is a DISGRACE.

BgHGMapCcAAU9Zg.jpg

What's he doing? Sitting on a chair talking to someone!

What's disgraceful about that?

Again no facts.

lol.

Well, whatever the facts are other than he's talking to two policemen Sunai from HRW claims PDRC guards detained, you can imagine the responses on here if it was Jatuporn sitting in the same position and two soldiers in the same position as these *alleged* cops...

If it's true that they are police with identification then holding them 7 hours is stupid (if true)

But again until facts are known ..we don't know the facts :D

Red camp is synonymous with corruption here on TV, so they should be experts on the matter. Takes one to know one, etc...

This monk decided to get political in a high viz way. Perhaps he thought his status would keep him above mud slinging. Maybe for a while. Welcome to the trenches.

Why is every PDRC leader an absolute bonehead ? First there is Suthep taking money donations from the gullible, then the tool that was arrested at the shopping center, a dumbass foreigner that is about to be deported, and a con-artist monk with trigger happy gun toting guards . the fact that there are still TV members supporting these rats is mind boggling.

Your post is both the question and answer in one.

The people who support these kind of leaders belong in the same category.

Agree. They beat and tortured them for 7 hours and only let them go as one looked like dying. they are now in hospital.

Wonder why the police don't catch anybody? This is reason number one.

Disgusting PDRC and the only thing worse now is the backers who are keeping this idiocy going by having the Army threaten the Police about not moving them on.

Least it gets good airing on Twitter and FB. All media feed from twitter so it does not go unnoticed.

I'm definitely going to ask for a link for that information about beating and nearly dying!

Yes, but Suthep's son apparently claimed on FB that it was bought last year (in June or July IIRC) and that the date was simply due to a delay in getting the papers completed. Like I said, I doubt he bought it from donations. People were alleging that Thaksin might've ordered a hit on Kwanchai for siphoning money off which I think is unlikely - but if Thaksin could order a hit for stealing his money, so could Suthep's backers. Especially as one of the main figures behind the scenes is responsible for the hit on Sondhi. But even apart from that, Suthep is desperate to win, why would he do this now knowing it could seriously jeopardize his chances if found out? He's just not that stupid. The possibility he used donations to help his son buy land is pretty low imo.

Why would you say that he's not that stupid? It's not stupid to get what he can for him and his while he has a chance. It maybe pretty low, but entirely possible and probable. He'd pay his way out of any problems that came of it. This country is rife with corruption from small municipal positions, all the way to the top. Thailand is like a free for all. Get it while you can before there's none left sort of attitude. I'm not anti-Thai, just anti-corruption.

My perspective on the political system here is that it is a completely corrupt system. It would not matter who wins any election, as it only determines who will rip off the people until the next coup or election. Nothing would surprise me here.
