craigt3365
A big problem with the local hotels right now is construction noise. Let's move this over to the Pattaya forum. Topic Moved.
mogandave
How cheap? Natural Beach is okay for 1,000 a night.
Razzler1973
Opey de Place is 700-800, if I recall and it's good, I like it. Nice rooms, clean hotel, proper reception area, got a pool. No complaints
WinnieTheKhwai
I may havea different idea of a decent budget hotel, but I'd say the Ibis hotel in North Pattaya. Then you're away from the immediate riff-raff areas while still in Pattaya. Have stayed there with the wife and kids.

dddave
Best to choose for yourself. go to Soi Lenkee (When Soi Diana which starts at the rear of MIKE Mall crosses Soi Buakhow it becomes Soi Lenkee) and just walk towards 3rd Rd. There are literally dozens of GH's with very nice rooms under B1000, many in the B500+ range. La Katai, Opey de Place, Sutee, New Nikom Court, J&P, Valentin's ect. Many good places to eat on that soi as well. Also Soi Chiayaphum (Oasis GoGo on corner) and Soi Excite (First left of Chaiyaphum) as well as the length of Soi Buakhow. High season will be winding down so availability won't be a problem.
john1000
Best to stay on a temporary basis first, and look for yourself. Many rooms can be very dark if overlooked by a large hotel.
