OMGImInPattaya
The bus to the thonburi (southern) bus station in Bangkok leaves about every 45 minutes from the station on North Pattaya Road. It costs about B150 and just buy ticket for next bus when you get to the station. There is no advanced booking.

thaisusi
There is one bus company near the Pattaya Klang and 3rd Rd intersection, located about 200 m towards north on the left hand side of 3rd road. There are two bus lines, one to Kanchanaburi, the other one to Ubon Ratchatani. Buses look ok, don't know what their schedules are, but they seem to leave in the morning and evening. Go and check.
