Apologies if I have placed this in the wrong forum, and also after searching this subject I am to say the least confused.

I require the above for a renewal of Driving licence, Temporary to 5 year.

If I go to immigration, one of the temporary offices in Bangkok, which form do I need ? TM18?

Also I have read that some have gone to a local police station to obtain the above.

On my original application I used an Affirmation from the British Embassy, which cost an arm and a leg (didn't know any better then)

I live in rented condo, with Thai spouse, and am on extension of stay based on marriage, if that makes any difference.

You can use either office until CW reopens.

You use Application Form for Residence Certificate in Thailand or this as PDF http://immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/res_cert.pdf .

have you known anyone use a local police station for this?

I have seen reports saying that they got one from a police station but that is a rarity.
