He looks very healthy actually - lots of fresh air, sunshine, and long walks are good for the body. Maybe if more expats did that....lol

Taksin and Suthep are different sides of the same coin. They are both just as corrupt and will rape Thailand if given the chance and have already done so in the past and are still doing so. One is from the north, the other from the south. They should both be thrown in a tank with hungry gators. Those who think that Suthep is Thailand's saviour is just as delusional as those who think that Taksin will be back to be PM again.

Very true.

Understand you, but cant agree. Taksin was a step away from getting nearly full power, and this was stoped by Suthep. I know about his past, but what he do now will be a big progress for Thailand, the protestors who coming from all parts of Thailand want unity and stop corruption. smile.png

ordering the suppression of anti-government protesters yesterday

Suthep would never consider such a thing himself. Hypocrite.

For the benefit of those who claim that there are only a few protesters left.

Today at the office on defense.

We can probably thank Chalerm for this huge boost in support.

Thais like a good fight. I expect the numbers to pick up as a result of vengeance for the 4 heroes slaughtered indiscriminately by police firing willy nilly into crowds at chest to head height with the sole purpose of murdering people without trial, and very unlikely the killed were shooting them.

The police responsible, also their direct commander and Chalerm and Yingluck should all be charged with murder, as this is clearly an open and shut case.

30 years in prison should help them reflect on how evil they have been!

Amazing isn't it.

A wanted criminal with blood on his hands and pockets full of corrupt palm-oil money vowing to chase a democratically elected (at the last elections) leader of a country.

A dangerous, deranged rich man insane with power. Sadly supported by those who despise the poor majority, who have sadly ruled the country with their minority up until 10 odd years ago, and are driven insane that the poor have actually been given a voice. sad.png

His nickname in political circles is the Angel of Death.

In 1995, Suthep’s Sor Por Kor 4-01 land scheme scandal led to the downfall of the Democrat-led Chuan Leekpai government.

He was about to be indicted and (Thai style) he resignied as Minister of Agriculture without even a slap on the wrist.

How ironic it would be if Suthep managed to bring down Yinluck's democratically elected government!

He brought down the government of Democrats in 1995 and now is bent on bringing down the PTP.

What a poltico! What a dismal bunch of people that do not care to know nor remember their own history! Dysfunctional!!!

yea not many - maybe 5,000? 10,000 max what happened to the 6 million? I'm told 99% of BKK is fine just 1% held up by the fascists

Suthep who is so popular in BKK that he has today had to organise and bus in a few thousand from Chomporn and Surathni.

Can't a city of 10 million provide him with more than the 200-300 supporters he is down to when he is not paying for busses?

Suthep should put up and shut up... storm the builiding with his Paid armed thugs and see how long he lasts!!!

lucky for suthep, his audience is mostly of the non-thinking, non educated thais these days. the educated ones longs since bailed out.

A ban can't keep a good man down eh?

Less than a week and you have already made 74 posts and each one was as bad as the ones that you were posting before you were banned.

We can only wait and see who wins at the end.

For the sake of the Thai people, I hope the right outcome will take place.

Enough killings, enough injuries, time for more constructive and politically mature thinking.

When peaceful revolution is made impossible, violent revolution is made inevitable.

Did the end of that quote include the following

"Violent revolution is made inevitable" but if you don't mind can we keep up the pretence that this is a peaceful demonstration otherwise my laughable attempts to blame Yingluck for the deaths will be undermined.

as laughable as attempts at accusing Suthep and Abhisit for the murders in 2010 whistling.gif

How many more deaths will it take to end this Tyrants raging and self interest.

Not long now, the Shinawats' star is fading.

Fading? I think it is about to go SuperNova (as in total and complete self destruction).

Dear Mr. Suthep, again, you are falling right into Thaksin's trap, as innocent people will usually pay the price lethally wai2.gifwai2.gifwai2.gif

Maybe Suthep is in love. The below picture is a public display in front of CTW.

I have no idea what the Thai text is saying, but the political mudslinging has reached new lows.

Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban last night announced to pursue caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to the end

Suthep is Wile E. Coyote and Yingluck is The Road Runner. Beep beep! And he's got all his ACME Corporation ingenious devices to bring her down.

Its a cartoon in every way but one, which is that innocent people on both sides are losing their lives and being maimed. If it wasn't so tragic and saddening, it would be ludicrous and laughable.

Well then I wish Suthep luck in his pursuit. Maybe he'll be more successful in this than he's been at overthrowing an elected government.

Yingluck used state TV to put forth a narrative of lies that was intentionally designed to sow hatred between the farmers and the PDRC before the violent push by Chalerm yesterday. It was unconscionable for her to do that - to pit Thai people against Thai people - especially as it was founded on such a lie. Far from it, the farmers have now become embraced by the protest movement, and have even been the recipients of donations from it, from the very people on the streets that Yingluck chooses to dismiss so summarily with one brush stroke. On the one hand the Yingluck administration condemns " fake farmers " and on the other hand they try to sow hatred among the farmers towards the PDRC, all at the same time of continually dodging their own responsibility for what they have done to the farmers.

Scamper, you need to read a bit more carefully. The money that was donated to Suthep to help the farmers, DID NOT go to the farmers. It was given to attorneys for legal fees encountered to help the farmers. The farmers themselves never got a stang of it.

Go easy on Scamper: he is just another casualty of the Media.

The Media is the aider and abetter of Suthep. They report always to benefit their darling, even if Suthep is not a native born Bangkokian he is anti-Thaksinista.

The purpose of the Media (BP, Nation and other yellow rags) is to vilify the one who succeeded in challenging the power of the Bangkok's Ammart and won.

Without implying that Thaksin is lily white, ask in this forum how many lost money, property or chattels as the result of Thaksin's dealings during his tenure. They all say that it is not how much they lost but a matter of principles. cheesy.gif Whose principles?

Distortion, factoids, spurious information and innuendo are but some of the devices used by the Media. It is not accidental.

They know that simpletons will swallow misinformation and spread it without corroborating or researching it.

In the USA the Media conspired against the American public and made the HOPE and CHANGE slogan their own. The changes have been such that most people in the USA have left with no hope and only some change in their pockets.

If it happened in Germany, in the USA, first world countries with "alleged" higher level of education and political savvy, what can we expect from Siam?

BP has published the Bangkok Shutdown and the Thailand Restart ad nauseam. The zombies just swallow what they Media feeds them.

Yes you are correct

My Thai wife and her educated friends have returned home

They feel that all they can do, has now been

Yingluck is finished, she just does not know she is dead as yet

It is now all up to the courts

they are prepared to return if needed

so yes you are correct all the non thinking red shirts and many from the south are just protesting for what ever reason they want to,

But Nothing can save the Taskin Government now, and the educated Thais know this

Excuse me tezzainoz.

As the farmers are really in very bad economic situation, I'd expected that some money for a bowl of noodles, would have been nicer than pay the bill of a lawyer they did NOT ask.

Note: Suthep did not say about he will pay legal fees before collect money, but after did the collection. This should make you think a little...
