Charlie, I have been here about the same time as you, I think we would all do somethings differently, but as far as I'm concerned, there is not a lot I would do differently, when you say VERY differently, then I wonder. Reading your posts you give the impression that you are very happy here. I sincerely hope you are.

I've always thought that Thailand was a great place to live if you had money. If not, most would be better off back home.

I'm not rich, but I'm comfortable, but I have got to say I would certainly not be better off back home in the UK. If I had to pay all the taxes etc that the UK government would want me to, ie TV licence, council tax etc etc, then there is no way I could afford to eat well and heat my home. I will be staying here for the rest of my life.
